When we write blog posts about City Development, we see how things change and document it, but this time it is very special for us. We are starting to document changes near our first office (to be precise, co-working space). Świętego Jana in Katowice (Saint John Street) is a street starting at Market Square and ending near the popular “Rialto” Cinema.
What is changing? Saint John Street has two parts: a pedestrian section, where the current tram stop is located, and a normal part with cars and a bridge over the main railroad. On the left, we have the Main Train Station. This bridge is the scope for changes. Currently, we have a big project with the marketing name: “Śląskie na nowych torach” (Katowice Main Train/Railway Station is also currently in development). As part of this project, the City of Katowice received funding for building a new Transfer Node System called “Węzeł Św. Jana”. We will have an even quicker way from the Train Station to Saint John Street.
